Important Note: If you wish to secure a date to get married in just over one month’s time, your ‘Notice of Intended Marriage’ (NOIM) may initially be lodged with us via mail, email prior to your wedding date.
Contact us to get a copy of this form sent to you on office@marriagevictoria.com.au
When lodging the NOIM please ensure that at least one of the parties has signed this and ensure they have their signature witnessed by an acceptable witness. This may include a Justice of the Peace, a Doctor, a Solicitor, a Policeman from your local police station, or an authorised Marriage Celebrant.
You may also call our offices on the mobile 0424778800 to get the NOIM witnessed on Video with one of our celebrants. We use FaceTime or WhatsApp for fast and convenient ‘Remote Video Witnessing’, and the moment it is signed you simply scan or photograph pages 3 & 4 and email straight to us with your IDs to office@marriagevictoria.com.au
If you are overseas then an acceptable witness includes a Notary Public, or you will need to visit the Australian Embassy or High Commission.
Once filled in please email to us, along with you ID documents, to office@marriagevictoria.com.au
If you wish to mail in your filled-out NOIM please send to ‘Marriage Victoria – South Yarra’, P.O. Box 680, South Yarra VIC 3141.
N.B. All the final details on the NOIM will need to be accurately completed with us prior to the wedding taking place. If the NOIM is only signed by one party, the remaining party who has not yet have signed the form would also need to sign the NOIM in front of the celebrant before the ceremony takes place and before any official marriage paperwork is completed on the marriage booking day at our award-winning Melbourne Marriage Registry, or at a couples chosen location for the wedding.
